North:

Playa Manzanillo: AKA: “Left Magic” is one of Nicaragua's ultimate left reef breaks along the entire coast. Needs a big swell to crank, but when its on you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! Works from 3 - 15 ft. Intermediate - Expert

Playa Colorados: AKA: “Nica-Pipeline” Consistently throwing perfect barrels, Colorado’s is an amazing river mouth beach break just north of Manzanillo. Works from 2 - 10 ft. Intermediate - Expert

   Playa Panga Drops: Bigger board, slow roller, but can handle a large swell as It has a mixed beach/rock reef bottom. Works from 4 - 15+ ft.   Intermediate - Expert

   Playa Rancho Santana: Bowly hollow beach break with a river-mouth section. Always a barrel to be had here! Works from 2 - 8 ft.   Intermediate - Expert

   Popoyo Inner: Excellent reef break, with left/right capabilities. Works from 4 - 8 ft.   Intermediate - Expert

   Popoyo Outer: For those Big Wave enthusiasts, this is Nicaragua's ultimate left off of a serious reef slab 1/4 mile out from the Popoyo shores. Works from 8+ ft.   Expert

South:

Playa Yankee: AKA: “The Sling-Shot” is a fast hollow left point/beach break about 9km south of San Juan del Sur. Works from 3 - 6 ft. Beginner - Expert

Playa Hermosa: Fun beach break with multiple peaks, and since the only access is by boat, the crowds are scarce. Works from 3 - 15 ft. Beginner - Expert

Front Yard:

Playa Maderas: Home Base, where you stay, the most consistent beach break in the San Juan del Sur area. Works from 2 - 8 ft. Beginner - Expert
